Lucky Prak

Lucky attended, and completed, the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School and The Basic School in 2008.  He then completed the Infantry Officers Course and was assigned as an infantry Platoon Commander in 2nd Battalion 7th Marines (2/7) in Twentynine Palms, California, in 2009.

While with 2/7, he deployed on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).  His unit participated in exercise “Cobra Gold 2010” in Thailand and exercise “Balikitan 2010” in the Philippines.  While aboard the MEU his platoon trained counterparts from Thailand, Philippines, and Japan.

Upon completion of the MEU, Lucky was assigned as the Weapons Platoon Commander and attended the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course in Yuma, Arizona.  While there he learned how to plan and implement detailed fire support plans integrating air assets, indirect fire capabilities, and other fire support assets into ground maneuver plans.

Upon returning to his unit, Lucky was assigned as the Executive Officer for Echo Company 2/7 where he planned all of the units training during a workup for another MEU.  This included logistical planning of all training and ranges as well as designing all of the courses of fire and implementing training standards and safety plans.  Subsequently, Lucky was assigned as the Assistant Operations Officer for 2/7 Marines, and as Commanding Officer of Headquarters Company, 7th Marines before leaving active duty in 2011.

Upon leaving active duty in 2011, Lucky joined the Marine Reserves and has served with Alpha Company, Anti-Terrorism Battalion in Rochester, NY and Charlie Company, 1/25 in Buffalo, New York.
